Audiences are becoming increasingly powerful in shaping media output. With reference to your case study, how far is this true?

In your answer you should:

·         Provide a brief outline of your case study

·         Evaluate the roles of audiences in the creation of media products from your case study

·         Support your answer with reference to a range of examples from three media platforms.

Introduction:

·         Talk about Coldplay; give background knowledge and how they became big.

·         Introduce the 3 different media platforms such as E media, print media and moving image.

·         Talk about how Coldplay contribute to the three media platforms

·         Speak about the influences from YouTube and how it affects Coldplay

·         Speak about how all of these influence Coldplay and how Coldplay is promoted through the social networking sites and through YouTube.

·         How does E – media engage the audience and give them a role to do during the creation of a Coldplay video, by putting it on Facebook.

·         Talk about magazines that promote singers, talk about posters that show Coldplay and tell the audience what they are about.

·         How does print media engage the audience and give them a role to do during the creation of a Coldplay magazine, by putting a fan page in the magazine

Paragraph 3:

·         Talk about 3^rd media platform such as moving image

·         Talk about how different television stations such as MTV or ROCK promote Coldplay and release their songs

·         Also speak about the different radio stations such as kiss 100 or NEW ROCK or Graffiti radio promote Coldplay and speak about how it is mainly rock stations.

·         How does moving image engage the audience and give them a role to do during the creation of a Coldplay radio interview, by getting fans to call and ask questions
